Of Political Persuasions and Compasses
Normally I am not one to get all excited about web based tests and quiz's but this one is kind of cool. I found this while trolling through someone else's blog and thought I would share it with my dedicated readers (both of you should feel very special at this point).
This one is pretty basic, but I have to admit, even in it's simplistic approach it managed to pretty much nail me to a tee. The only difference really is it's summation of my views on choice; I am not pro-choice on absolutely everything.
Anyway, play around with it and tell me what you think!

 I distrust the government, am fiercely independent, and don't belong in either party. Religion and politics should never mix, in my opinion... and I feel opressed by both. I don't want the government to cramp my self made style. Or anyone else's for that matter. I'm proud to say that I'm pro-choice on absolutely everything! |
Now, if you are into something just a shade more indepth and interesting, and in my experience FAR more revealing about the inner workings of your political hind-brain then you should check out Political Compass. It's a pretty interesting site and I found the results just absolutely fascinating.
One interesting thing is I have found that prior to the election I was a Centrist (which is to say dead center on the compass) with a slight Leftist Libertarian leaning. In preparation for this post, I went back and reevaluated myself and have found that I have shifted to the Right by one notch.
I am not sure what this means, if anything, but it is kind of interesting nonetheless.

Your political quiz told me I was something terrible. I can't even say it, but it was horrible. Embarrassing. Makes me feel dirty, like I've been playing in the mud with Conservative Republicans wearing loin cloths with crosses on their johnsons.
I am going to drown myself in snobby mineral water and try to find you a quiz that won't call me names.
By the way, Son of Simp kicks ass and I have proof.

Ok well I re-took your quiz and I like the results of this one better. No longer am I playing in the mud with Conservative Republicans. Just goes to show things CAN change. Even for me.

I like the political compass test better. That shows me being a Left Wing Libertarian(Anarchism/Communism), but I'm only a step away from being a Left Wing Authoritarian(Fascism/Communism).
The other test just shows me as a Libertarian. It also doesn't have the nifty graph chat.

Didn't take the quiz, but I'm pretty much a Commie. But you knew that. Or am I simply fond of the Stalinist aesthetic? You be the judge.
